It's free, click HERE. The Chippy is a small fish and chip shop on the main road in the popular coastal town of Mission Beach, Queensland. We were advised by a local that this was one of the best takeaway shops in town. The Chippy was walking distance to our caravan park so we decided to head up and order some food for dinner. We ordered the crumbed fish, chips and salad meal and this was served in a container so you could eat at one of their outdoor tables or take home. Of course I had to try one of the homemade potato scallops which was very good - not too much batter. You will find The Chippy by looking for the bright floral tablecloths covering the tables in the outdoor seating area in front of the shop.

Visited on a Sunday around am and there was already a line. Ordered the seafood basket with homemade tartare sauce and everything was yum. Love the crab balls. There is a bit of a wait for your food but that's because they cook everything fresh rather than batch cooking it, which I highly appreciate. Ordering was fast, friendly and efficient. We had a fairly decent sized order and they produced a great feed. The kids loved the fish and chips and the prawns were excellent. The food was not as oily as other fishos and was still hot when we opened up at the beach! We ordered grilled fish and chips and a tropical chicken burger. The burger was huge and so fresh. The fish was very fresh and chips were super crunchy. There was quite a crowd due to lunchtime but our order came though super quick and the The staff in the kitchen were like a well oiled machine and it showed.
I was very impressed. All reviews mackerel fish and chips salad spring rolls across the road barra yum crispy serving feed tender takeaway.

This mainly flat trail is suitable for all weather access and requires a medium level of fitness. It follows an old forestry road used in the s and s to haul timber from South Mission Beach to the El Arish timber mill. The trail heads north from the car park at the Licuala day-use area and exits on to the El Arish—Mission Beach road about 2 km east of the Lacey Creek day-use area. There are numerous bridges over small tributaries and you will pass through a wide variety of lowland rainforest types, including stunning licuala palm forests. A short link track joins the Musgravea Link Track to the Dreaming trail shortly before the road exit. Upon arriving at Lacey's Creek after pedalling through the Musgravea Track, lock up the bike and take a walk At Lacey Creek, you can follow the Lacey Creek walk through the rainforest along, and across, the creek. Many of the features of mature tropical rainforest can be seen: tall trees with wide buttressed trunks; epiphytic ferns perched on tree branches, high in the canopy; and twining vines climbing up and over other plants to reach the light. Keep an eye out for Cassowaries! At the end of your walk, take a dip in the beautiful fresh water stream to cool off

I really wanted to try this place While I completely understand the need for social distancing, everyone in line was respectfully distanced and not crowding. I could tell the poor clerk at the counter was used to apologising to customers for being yelled at as well. I want to support small business and spend my tourist dollars, but customer service is still important. Hopefully I can come back and support your business in future. Their mackerel is always awesome 1. For a change, I just ordered my first burger here, a delicious mammoth. Glad I read the reviews.
