In this episode, Michael Scott Steve Carell becomes frustrated when he is not allowed to listen in on a "women in the workplace" seminar that Jan is conducting, so he conducts his own "men in the workplace" seminar in the warehouse, where talk of a warehouse union emerges. Meanwhile, Pam Beesly Jenna Fischer considers graphic design. The genesis for the episode came from an idea cast members Angela Kinsey and Fischer had while spending time together on the set of the series.
