Belly is a kind-hearted and loving character who has humble and realistic dreams: a first kiss, a happy summer, good times with her friends. But her insecurities make her easy to relate to, and readers will root for her growing sense of independence. Way too much explicit content added that was not in the book. It's not a whole lot, but I feel that it shouldn't be okay to portray underage drinking or teenagers doing drugs. There are quite a bit of make out scenes and there is one sex scene that is a few seconds long but there is no nudity.
