However, in the episode airing on March 1, Seth meets with Nikki at Crimson Lights and the two discuss his decision to go to rehab. We tend to think Nikki needs to go with him given her own relapse, but we digress. That of course makes the Newman matriarch suspicious. She asks to see the number Isabel has been using to reach out to Seth and she quickly identifies it as the number that Jordan has been contacting her from.

They each have their own agenda. But the consequences tend to differ. Does she need more therapy? Who cares! Then they will take a photo of Claire with her long-lost mommy and daddy. Jordan will see it, grow incensed, and come to the Newman Ranch, where Victor will…um…growl at her? Point his finger at her menacingly? Jordan will lose, Victor will win, and the balance of power will be restored. Nobody gets the best of Victor Newman. You got that? Victor expects Nikki Melody Thomas Scott to get with his program. Nikki agreed. She seemed to falter a little when she learned that Victor was willing to go ahead with his plan whether or not Claire agreed to it. And the last thing Nikki needs now is more stress.

Naturally, some viewers are also upset that Victor is willing to put his granddaughter at risk. She's upset at first, but Victor's lawyer explains that he likes to work ahead and cover his bases since there's "no room for failure" when you're working for Victor. Where have you been all night?
