An upscale, pleasant mini-getaway in the heart of Waikiki lies Tommy Bahama Restaurant. It was decorated in a manner that made the environment feel alive and almost conversational. The entrance on the first floor is actually a shopping spot where the dining facilities are located on the upper two floors with the third floor having a rooftop bar where you can keep up to date with your favorite sports team playing on TV. This is the third floor where the rooftop bar is located along with an open air fire pit. Unfortunately, we went during a time of passing showers so the area was wet and with more rainy weather en route, the fire was not lit up that night but again, it really adds to how the environment felt alive and gave a great feed back in positive vibes. The ambiance gave a feel of escape, it felt like we were not in Hawaii, which is what we love when eating new places. Locations that encapsulates your mood allowing you to escape that you feel somewhere else always increase our rating of a spot.
