Series 24 was the twenty-fourth and most recent series of the BBC motoring show Top Gear and premiered on the 5th of March, The presenting line-up from the twenty-third series returned and remained unchanged with the notable exception of former lead presenter Chris Evans , who quit at the end of the previous series. The series contained seven episodes and like the previous series, This one was also accompanied by a new series of Extra Gear , airing immediately after the main show. A first trailer for the series was released on the 25th of December, A second trailer was released in February , along with the launch date: the 5th of March, Filming for the series was kept under wraps with very few public sightings of the crew.
