Turkish airlines manchester to istanbul business class
Hi Everyone and Welcome to my collection of flight reports. I was heading to Lahore, Pakistan for part 2 of my wedding where my wife would formally leave her family home In Pakistan "Ruksati" and in India "Bidaai". Back in September I had had the Islamic Nikah which is the signing of the Register in front of witnesses and family. Looks like someone doesn't know Geography or to check accuracy before sending for print.
After a nice flight from Houston , I had an overnight layover before my flight onward to Manchester. Thanks to Turkish Airlines generous offer of a hotel during my layover, I stayed at the Renaissance Polat Hotel near the airport. Unlike most airlines flying in Europe, Turkish still maintains a true Business Class cabin on many of their flights, with wide seats, rather than just a blocked middle seat. It was a nice treat when flying intra-Europe. Shortly after getting to my room, some fresh juice was delivered which was a nice touch. I visited the lounge and the excellent gym, but otherwise just slept. Being a Marriott property in a predominantly Muslim country, there was an interesting mix of religious materials available in one of the desk drawers.

Turkish Airlines operates a wide variety of aircraft types - both narrowbody and widebody. As you would expect, the whole long-haul widebody fleet offers spacious business class seating with lie-flat seats. A large proportion of its narrowbody fleet both Airbus A family and Boeing family aircraft offer dedicated business class cabins, with larger and more spacious seating than economy class. This contrasts with most European flag carriers, which tend to operate business class with the same seating as economy, with just a blocked middle seat. Turkish Airlines flies several times daily from Manchester to Istanbul. This contrasts flag-carrier British Airways , which only operates from London Heathrow. This flight was on the narrowbody Airbus A , but the airline operates many of its flights with widebody aircraft the schedule is generally quite accurate with minimal operational changes after booking. These flights would, of course, have full long-haul style lie-flay business class seating. For this late afternoon flight, I arrived around two hours before departure and was checked in quickly and through to departures using the priority security area.
There was a security screen before entering the terminal, and once through there, I quickly received my boarding pass and headed to security where the line was minimal. Grilled herbed tomato, scrambled eggs and a triangular toastie with a thin slice of turkey and feta cheese. The lady who had occupied the aisle seat?
