Xformerly known as Twitteris a website that offers social networking and microblogging servicesenabling its users to send and read messages called posts formerly tweets, tweetfur, tweetfur. X tweetfur Twitter was launched in and has gained popularity worldwide.

TweetFur is a hashtag used by Furry artists on Twitter in tweets featuring illustrations of the blue bird Twitter icon as an anthropomorphic character. On December 31st, , Twitter user fluffysmolcloud tweeted a screenshot of the Twitter Brand Guidelines that stated "Don't anthropomorphize the logo," along with an anthropomorphized drawing of the logo, gaining over 2, retweets within four days. Within three days, tweet gained over 1, retweets and 5, likes shown below. In the coming days, many other users contributed their drawings of the Twitter bird as an anthropomorphic creature with the hashtag TweetFur. Popular examples include a tweet by sindenbock that gained over retweets and 2, likes shown below, left and a tweet by Kallulily that gained over 80 retweets and likes shown below, right.
