It could also be T speed as they utilized the same housing but 9-speed seemed as a more common unit. But if you look at the pic you took in the junk yard you can see the airfilter housing is different. I'm not ready to state that's just another style of the canister on the same type engine I doubt or the truck was equipped with Mack E9.

Just completed this one after working on it on and off for the past 9 months. When I was a teenager, during summer break from school he would take me along in this truck delivering cardboard boxes to factories in the Bronx, Queens, and New Jersey. The cab I used is a 3D printed cab from global scale model trucks. Decals are from modeltruckin. I checked out the site you posted and am impressed with his range of foreign and domestic rigs. The day cab CA60 has the standard inch single element air cleaner assembly applicable to Mack engines. The other truck has the larger optional inch single element that was only available with the CAS62 sleeper cab. An in-line "pre-cleaner", and inside-outside air intake with in-cab control, were also options.

If that was printed open and separate it would give the builder options for chroming, ie: foil, alclad, etc, and not worrying about messing up the paint job plus be easier to work with.
