The book of balance is a book held in place of a shield, and is the god book aligned with Guthix. It can be received as a reward from the Horror from the Deep quest. Books of balance must be made using all four torn Guthix pages which can be purchased from other players or obtained from Treasure Trails. It also allows players with a Prayer level of 50 or greater to bless holy symbols and unholy symbols , at the cost of 6 prayer points per blessing compared to 4 points lost when using the other two main god book. Lost books of balance can be reclaimed by speaking to Jossik , complete with all pages that have been added, for no cost. Alternatively, for those who do not wish to travel to the lighthouse, Perdu will return them to players for 12, coins. Zamorak's Book of Chaos , formerly the Unholy book , is a book held in the pocket slot. For information on how to acquire a god book, see the god books article. Zamorak's Book of Chaos must be made using all four torn Zamorak pages which can be purchased from other players, obtained from treasure trails or by cremating a vyrewatch. With Zamorak's Book of Chaos, a player can preach and perform ceremonies, such as blessing, last rites, and wedding rites by operating it. Also, if a player's Prayer level is 50 or higher, they can bless Unholy symbols with Zamorak's Book of Chaos by expending 40 Prayer points for each symbol. Lost books of chaos can be reclaimed by speaking to Jossik at the lighthouse , or from a player-owned house bookcase , complete with all pages that have been added, for , coins. However, the book will lose all its remaining charges, requiring the player to add additional pages in order to activate the passive effect. After completion of One Piercing Note , if the book has all four pages, it can be used to create an illuminated book of chaos and unlock the god book off-hand override. This requires 60 Crafting and 60 Prayer , and grants 10, Prayer and 10, Crafting experience for the first time only.
