One of the most interesting aspects of the Naruto franchise is the series' many different clans. Each clan has their own unique jutsu, culture, history and traditions, but one of the most fascinating is the Uzumaki clan. The series' titular star, Naruto, is a member of this intriguing clan, but because of the horrific Uzumaki clan massacre, it sometimes seems as if Naruto may be the only surviving Uzumaki. With Naruto's marriage to Hinata, and the birth of their two children, Boruto and Himawari, the Uzumaki clan's numbers begin to expand once more. Considering the clan's history, however, one can't help but wonder if simply being Uzumakis could put Naruto and his kids in danger? Even before Naruto was born, the Uzumaki clan was one of the Naruto world's unluckiest. So, let's take a look at the Uzumaki clan's special powers, and how that power led to their destruction.

Uzumaki clan

The Uzumaki clan is one of the very strongest clans to ever exist in the world of Naruto. Originally hailing from the land of Eddies, the Uzumaki clan is a unique bunch known to specialize in Sealing Jutsu. They are also known to have incredibly huge chakra reserves, thanks to their connections to those of the Senju. Over the years, the Naruto series has seen the introduction of several powerful Uzumaki clan members, however, not all of them possess similar strength. Himawari Uzumaki is, by far, the weakest member of the Uzumaki clan right now. She is the daughter of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyuga. Although she is weak right now, as is expected of someone her age, she actually possesses tremendous potential. This was confirmed in the Boruto manga, where Daemon hints that Himawari already possesses incredible powers within her that she has not awakened yet. Out of the many characters around him, Daemon specifically points out Himawari to be the only one capable of fighting him. Karin is one of the most prevalent characters in the Naruto series. She served under Orochimaru for quite a long time, however, after his death, she became a member of Sasuke's Team Taka. Karin specializes in Medical Ninjutsu and, at the same time, she also has incredible sensory prowess which only a handful of characters in the world of Naruto can match. Karin also possesses a tremendous amount of chakra. In the 4th Great Ninja War, fans also saw her awaken Adamantine Chains, which is an ability that only awakens among some Uzumaki women. Ashina Uzumaki was the clan leader of the Uzumaki Clan at one point before its eventual destruction.
