If anybody else wants to tinker some things together or want to abuse existing stands with Vesa mount, please feel free to post here your work with pics. Do not use longer screws than the 7 mm mentioned in the manual. Any longer than and vesa mount bolts may damage the board or the components inside.

The paperwork with the TV states that M8 screws are required, but not what length. I have tried 50mm and 30mm, both of which seem too long, as the screws stick out of the back of the TV by a couple of cm. Indeed, the screw holes on the back of the TV only seem to be about 1cm deep, but from what I'm reading the screws should be at least 30mm in length. I've not mounted a TV before, and so I'm not sure if the screws sticking out a little way is normal or not. Can anyone provide some advice? Go to Solution. Ha, I just noticed that the 4 threaded holes on the DT baseplate looked suspiciously similar spacing to my VESA TV bracket, so I lined them up and sure enough the holes match, would probably need to be careful with length of screws to use if interested in trying it though.
