Our current offering of Antiques for sale are at our sister Website Patented-Antiques. The bottom casting is rounded making it the earliest version of this unusual miter square. It is the largest, and hardest to find size. Lufkin - - - - - Fine. Starrett - - - - - - Fine. Used but OK. The blade appears to have been swapped out.
If you don't want to spring for a Starrett, which is what I use as my primary square, I really like Products Engineering.

The vintage combination square. Often overlooked, definitely undervalued. Vintage squares can bring a high level of accuracy and quality to your shop, and into your projects! Accuracy is important when you are working in your garage shop. Quality measuring and layout tools can be expensive. Luckily for us, garage and estate sales are a gold mine of quality vintage tools. My favorite thing to look for is a vintage combination square.

It is tight. Standard squares in 2 or 3 sizes should fill out the bill. So I'm using the 12" Stanley and wishing I had something better. Hard to find!! Recommend a 12" combination square. The square is virtually unused and their top of the line, not one of the later light duty things. There is no damage, rust pitting or other flaws. If the square is for general carpentry, I like this one. Disston Perhaps? I look for Lufkin that was made in Saginaw Michigan at estate sales and flea markets. They should be parallel. Stamped mark hard to make out. Seller pays shipping for this item.
