Waddle Dees are species native to Planet Popstar.
Bandana Waddle Dee , originally known as Waddle Dee prior to Kirby: Triple Deluxe , is a recurring deuteragonist and major supporting character in the Kirby series. As his name implies, he is a Waddle Dee wearing a blue bandana on his head. His weapon of choice is usually a spear , but in some games, such as Kirby Battle Royale , he wields a parasol instead. Originally shown to be King Dedede 's most loyal subject, later games portray him as Kirby 's closest friend, and he sometimes even assists Kirby in battling the king. After this, he appeared as one of the four playable protagonists of Kirby's Return to Dream Land , and has starred in nearly every game in the Kirby series since. While several hints have been made that might suggest the two are the same character, this has not been confirmed. Bandana Waddle Dee, just like other Waddle Dees, is a round, orange creature with a peach-colored face, where his eyes and most of the rest of his body are located, though his body is typically of a much redder shade of orange when compared to other members of his species.

Bandana Waddle Dee , sometimes abbreviated as B. Dee [3] or nicknamed Bandana Dee , [4] otherwise known simply as Waddle Dee , [5] [6] [7] is a main character in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Super Star. He is a Waddle Dee who wears a blue bandana. He has gone from being an insignificant, minor character in his first appearances to being a prominent figure who has appeared in almost every Kirby game to date since Kirby Super Star Ultra. In his debut, he only made a brief appearance in Megaton Punch , though the remake extends this appearance to Revenge of the King and takes over the role of Arena Waddle Dee. He wields a spear as his most common weapon, although he also displays skill with a parasol. When properly equipped, he is one of the few known Waddle Dees depicted to be on par with Kirby, in terms of skill and strength. Bandana Waddle Dee looks nearly identical to that of a regular Waddle Dee. However, in some games, he is shown to have more of a reddish-orange skin tone. His most noticeable feature is the navy blue bandana he wears on top of his head, which helps to distinguish him from the other members of his species. He is always willing to follow the monarch's orders, and even fights Kirby despite not yet having any skills in combat. In fact, he grew so loyal to Kirby, that he would even choose to be on his side rather than Dedede's if the two were to ever have a conflict , as shown in Kirby Battle Royale , where he remains by Kirby's side throughout the entire game, even aiding him in the final battle against Dededestroyer Z. In the game, he's also revealed to be quite a fan of Meta Knight , sometimes shouting his name and enthusing over him when he sees him.
