By Aristical , November 15, in General Discussion. I got a riven weapon mod for a stinger yet i have never seen one. They are not in the codex nor are they in the store. Please tell me like wtf how can a mod be for a weapon we dont have. Stinger is actually a very good weapon, but you need a lot of forma to make it viable. I got 6 forma on mine and I slot it on my carrier prime whenever I'm using a shotgun as a primary. Took me ages to find out what weapon it was for I just found out recently that Sentinel rifles can equip Terminal Velocity, and that Sentinel Riven mods can have Flightspeed boosters. You can't imagine how amazing this is for Sentinel rifle dps rates. When Riven mods, or a concept similar to it, is made for Secondaries, I'd like to see Flightspeed mods be made available for them. That's enemy detection range, not necessarily the range nor the flightspeed of certain Sentinel rifles that are non-hitscan. If I were to put Stinger on Djinn he'd start shooting at the first enemy he sees in a 60m range.

The biggest problem this weapon has is the very low critical chance and status chance, paired with no IPS damage and a low magazine size. If you are looking for a good start to base your own build on or if you simply want to copy and paste a solid build, you did come to the right place! Which means you really want to build around that by using a lot of fire rate mods at least Vile Acceleration and Speed Trigger in combination with a lot of multishot.

By --Puro-- , May 2, in Weapons. Every gun has the same build formula. If your weapon has a high critical chance and multiplier you should replace some of the elemental mods with critical-boosting mods most useful for Soma, Grakata, Synapse, bows, etc.
