AS the weather turns a bitter cold throughout the county this week, we have taken a look into when Reading can expect to see some snow. According to the Met Office , the rest of the week will see colder conditions spreading across the UK, which will be accompanied by frosts, hail and sleet, particularly from mid-week onwards. Reading is likely to see temperatures drop further as the days progress, with predictions of a sub-zero "feel". The Met Office confirmed that snow is expected heavily in northern counties, with the south expected to experience snow more transient in nature. It will turn locally chilly in Reading, with some fog patches and a touch of frost, especially in some rural spots. There will be clouding over from the northwest by end of the night. After a bright start initially, a band of cloud and some outbreaks of rain will sink southeastwards during Wednesday, before clearing by the evening. Thursday through until Saturday will remain unsettled, cold and windy, with showers or some longer spells of rain, these heavy at times. Temperatures could reach the upper 20Cs again following a bout of wet and dreary weather. After the heatwave that the UK endured a few weeks ago in July, many people were glad to see Berkshire cool down again. However, it seems the colder climates won't last long, with a new wave of hot weather set to arrive in the UK in a couple of weeks.
