Westie Rescue acts quickly to pick up the animal in question, drives them directly to a veterinarian hospital to ensure that the Westie in question receives a medical evaluation, rabies shots, and other medical care as required by the experienced vets we use. Every Westie is then placed into foster care as we screen potential homes for a final placement. Westies in trouble are assisted in multiple forms, some were rescued, rehabilitated and when ready medically and behaviorally were rehomed. With others, we assisted the owners with concerns and help them train and care for their own Westie. Westie Rescue also assists other volunteer rescue groups across the USA who in turn rescues an additional Westies in their own towns, cities, and States each year. Prevention of cruelty to animals: Westie Rescue provides public outreach through 5 special events each year, and actively participates in helping owners with issues and training to ensure proper care, feeding, behavior training, and proper pet ownership.
