A character can wield a wide variety of deadly weapons, ranging from tiny darts to mighty magic swords. Weapons need to be equipped to be useful, though. A big nasty axe isn't going slay anything if it's buried in your backpack under some old gym socks. A character has two hands, a primary hand and a secondary hand. Wizardry 8 characters also have two sets of weapons, their main set and an alternate set. Swapping weapons is quick and easy, allowing you to switch between close and ranged weapons with ease. Wizardry 8 is the eighth, and so-far the last game in the mainline Wizardry series. It is also the third and the last game in the Cosmic Forge series. As with the first two installments of the Cosmic Forge trilogy of Wizardry games, Wizardry VI and Wizardry VII , Wizardry 8 has multiple beginnings that continue from the previous games' multiple endings.

Yes, I did say cheat death. Side Quest. It doesn't happen everytime, but it does occur somewhat regularily. The items will merge, unless you've either attempted the impossible merging a sword with a potion, for instance or your character doesn't have enough skill to successfully merge the two items together. Examples would include a dwarfs dam age resistance, a priest's ability to turn undead, and a fighter's stamina regeneration. Do not discount bows on a character with in strength. To use a gadget, the gadget must be in the characters inventory not the party inventory! My valk is on str and dex for killing potential, while my monk Dex and sen to focus on accuracy, critical strike and stealth. They scale only slightly worse than polearms and end up doing more damage than polearms do. Not a very big deal, cause you're not gonna be putting him on the front lines. Cons: There are just too many skills for him to pump. Locks and Traps - In my opinion, since he has so few skills to work on he's the best candidate for this skill.
