He is pivotal in the game's backstory as the Driver of the Aegis , Mythra , during the Aegis War five hundred years prior to the game's events. Despite being a member of Torna's royalty , Addam is usually portrayed as a man of the people. He is loved by many of his subjects, who see him as a leader. However, Addam refuses to become the King and wishes to be a farmer because he likes freedom, a life where he can choose. Addam treats his comrades as equals, with the exception of Mythra, with whom he has a more paternal approach. He and Milton are scared of her lethal cooking. He is also very emotional and honest, crying over things that others see as trivial. He also has a deep trauma of Mythra's dark cooking. The right front side of his head has a traditional Tornan style braid. His skin has a peach-tan healthy complexion. He wears a unique and dominantly white Japanese-like armor with black, red and golden parts, though he is initially seen wearing a dark-gray hooded coat that covers his entire silhouette. He has more armor on his left arm than his right, both different vambraces. The symbol of Torna is embossed on the armor's top front and his personal seal is on his back, near the upper neck.

I've got a cracking ghost story for you. After Mythra states she just wanted to save those close to her, she unleashes a powerful attack that destroys Malos' Xenoblade addam and the Titan's core.

And in fact, I was quickly proven to be at least a little off target. When I ultimately caved and bought the game after seeing a lot of great reviews, I found it did a good job of making me like Rex. Within the first hour or two, he sends money home multiple times, is established as decent salvager and fighter, and has some pretty funny interactions with Nia. Looking back, I think my fear with such a young, almost goofy-looking protagonist was a lack of competency. I saw him as the type who runs around doing little of substance, potentially gets paralyzed by fear, and then invokes power of friendship to win narratively unearned victories.

When he dodged and later fought Malos, I put my initial concerns to bed. Rex does run into problems with doing things properly, as an overzealous kid; his challenges and mistakes are actually pretty core in the plot. This starts when Morag comments that his skill is holding back Pyra. Of course, this would hit harder if the game actually had an equivalent mistake in gameplay closest thing would be using a blade art too early and not being able to finish a combo? Throughout this, I found myself wondering how all this failure would pay off, with more than a little skepticism.

Chronicious-Fox 5 years ago 1. That was sort of the joke. It's got to be something fancy, naturally. The night before the fight with Malos, Addam, Mythra, and Jin manage to convince Milton and Mikhail to stay behind in Auresco for their own safety. In her own special way. Malos and Mythra both have these, briefly, when Mythra flips out in Torna. Do we really need this petty rivalry? This moment was pretty underwhelming for me as a result — I cared because the game made me like the characters, and want them to win, and all that. TheMindGamer posted Hugo and Aegaeon later inform Addam that his militia was taken over by the Urayan government and was ordered to relocate to Aletta.

He is also very emotional and honest, crying over things that others see as trivial. We've become like one big family. Everything was left on her shoulders, alone. Addam appears to Rex in a vision of the fields of Elysium , though Addam had never been to Elysium himself and was brought there by Rex. Mythra later speaks to him regarding the possibility that humans possibly could desire destruction, though Addam assumes she was joking. Ask A Question.
