Very bad! Bad experience with Xiamen Airlines! Very disappointed!

After the booking, Xiamen Airlines made several changes to the flight schedule. All those changes are minor. But each time I receive a change, it is very stressful to ensure that my trip will not be badly affected.

Just walking around and getting the chance to stretch out a bit was good enough. Unfortunately, it was a bit too early to check in for my connection to Chengdu so all I could do was hang out in the ticketing hall for a bit and catch up on work stuff. It took about an hour of waiting to be able to check in, and finally having a boarding pass in hand marked the official start of my second ever Xiamen Airlines review. If this experience was going to be anything like my first , I was in for a real treat this morning. As I was having fun zipping through the terminal on the moving walkway, I spied signs pointing to the Xiamen Airlines business class lounge. I headed that way like a man on a mission.

All those changes are minor.

While our day in Xiamen was a bit disappointing due to unexpected illness and a tour gone awry, my son and I were both still looking forward to our Xiamen Air economy fight back to California that evening. He was also struggling with the manual transmission, which concerned me as well. I cannot imagine that the queue was where he was supposed to drop us. We had to walk a decent distance and find our way to the international departures terminal. But we made it safe and sound. Check in at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport was essentially as smooth as when we flew Xiamen Air economy class from Taipei the day before. Boarding passes in hand, we then passed through customs and immigration. We were just under the limit of hour transit visa. Even if the stopover had been longer, you can utilize the hour transit without visa to visit Xiamen. However, the lounge closes at PM and the staff were already cleaning up the food and drinks for the night.
