The Icon is wrapping up a legendary career at Sunday's pay-per-view, so the company made sure to tout his last episode.

We are coming away from the Revolution pay-per-view on Sunday with a new international champion, a new No. Dynamite opened with Tony Schiavone interviewing Swerve Strickland about coming up short at Revolution. He said that night was different and like people truly wanted him to win for the first time. He vowed to keep pursuing Samoa Joe and the world title. Joe came to the ring and talked some trash before Swerve challenged him to put the title on the line again right then and there.

The Valentine's Day edition had plenty of action. Here is the card advertised ahead of Wednesday's show. Dynamite opened with Jon Moxley making his way through the crowd as "Wild Thing" played. His opponent for the evening was Dax Harwood, who also came out solo to keep things fair. They started with a furious lockup that ended in a most surprising way: Moxley kissed Harwood and then dared him to do something about it. From that point forward, this was a fight. Both men fancy themselves as strikers, and they put those skills on full display. This was neither a pretty nor a technical affair, but it was a fun brawl with a few entertaining spots. They had great energy, a hot crowd and nobody at ringside to distract from the action. The first half was almost all strikes, but we saw a lot more variety after the commercial break. You could hear Justin Roberts announce when five minutes remained, and again when it was down to two minutes. Harwood tried his best, but he ended up passing out to a sleeper to give Mox the win.

Blue went right after her opponent with a running dropkick, aew bleacher report, but Nightingale cartwheeled out of the corner and hit a bodyslam. Fletcher and Ospreay hugging before the match was a nice moment. Atlanttis Jr.

We're still in the post-Revolution week, but AEW has already started moving forward with some new and existing feuds. Rampage opened with Cassidy and Beretta making their entrance for the opening bout, but Sabian and Butcher were already at ringside. Beretta made the mistake of trying to trade strikes with The Butcher early on, so he switched gears and tried to use his speed to avoid the big man. OC and Sabian had a more evenly matched exchange, but Sabian had a clear power advantage. He focused all of his offense on Cassidy's injured back, which was heavily taped due to the injuries he's been accumulating. This was a pretty standard AEW tag match.

Did the Hall of Famer enjoy one last success under the bright lights, retiring a champion, or did the EVPs acquire even more power by taking the titles that have eluded them since ? Find out the answer to that and more with this recap of Sunday's pay-per-view broadcast, live from the historic Greensboro Coliseum, home to some of the most unforgettable moments in professional wrestling history. A messy match benefited from a hot crowd, but not enough to elevate its overall quality. There was plenty of action, sometimes disjointed, that concluded with "Switchblade" leveling Mack with Blade Runner for the win. When you take into account White wasting away at this spot on the card, though, it only makes the meaninglessness of the match stand out. How is a guy who arrived in the company with so much momentum on his side, and challenged for the world title last fall, in such a spot? A post-match promo teased something of substance potentially coming at the Big Business episode of Dynamite on March 13 in Boston.

The Icon is wrapping up a legendary career at Sunday's pay-per-view, so the company made sure to tout his last episode. He said he would not be able to compete at Revolution, which led to Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana coming out. Swerve said he respects everything Page has done in AEW, but now is his time to be the champion, which brought out Samoa Joe. As Swerve yelled at Joe, Page attacked him with a crutch and revealed he was not injured at all. The ruse was done well, but there were some signs it wasn't real. Man he wasn't fooling me. Page was convincing on an emotional level, but some fans noted online that a doctor would have told him to use his crutch on the other side.

Nightingale and Statlander defeated Hart and Blue. Wardlow watching himself flex on the big screen was funny. Teasing a potential feud between Ospreay and Danielson is definitely going to have people talking, especially if we don't have to wait all the way until the next PPV to get their first encounter. Cassidy is great at subtly selling injuries. This match had the obvious odd couple dynamic. Chris Jericho brought back his Lionheart persona for a match against Atlantis Jr. It was very noticeable this week. Danielson and Ospreay vs. This week's show only had four matches, so a lot of time was filled with talking segments, including the final segment with Sting's final appearance as an AEW wrestler. The suplex over the top rope to the floor looked rough. Jericho did a lot to put Andretti over on commentary as he and the former AEW tag team champion fought in and out of the ring. You can see that Robyn's head was nowhere near making contact with the mat.

Everything that hit did, mostly, and the result was a great way to kick off the company's PPV slate here in This was exactly the fast-paced match you would expect out of these four men. BCC Chris Jericho vs. Regardless, it was a disappointingly weak crowd for a match that should have been hotter based on the talent involved, their real backstory, and the character work at play. The Young Bucks came out to make a special announcement but made sure to rant about losing to Sting and Darby Alling at Revolution. It looks like it would be so inconvenient when wrestling. This was a fantastic match with a great story and a performance from Kingston that all young and aspiring wrestlers should study. Since FTW rules mean there are almost no rules, we saw plenty of weapons in the ring, including a piece of the barricade. The randomness of Mack in this match was not lost on RJ City, who reacted with surprise upon seeing his name on the heel side of the lineup. Penta secured the win with his trademark package piledriver to end a fun bout that had the crowd on its feet. Copeland saved Garcia from having his head smashed with a chair, but Mama Wayne hit a low blow. They all posed together after the match. They did a fantastic job making Garcia into a bigger babyface as the match progressed by having him make bigger and bigger comebacks. Willow Nightingale. He is a future world champion, if not the next one.
