Astel

Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is a main boss located in an optional underground region in Elden Ring. You can face him at the end of the Lake of Rot, located in Nokstella Eternal City , at the end of the Ainsel River - which can be accessed by progressing through Ranni the Witch's questline , or via a coffin in the Deeproot Depths. To reach Astel, you'll need to find a set of coffins at the edge of a waterfall of rot in the Grand Cloister at the end of the Lake of Rot. A hyper aggressive Malformed Star, Astel will likely take a number of attempts due to the sheer ferocity of its attacks, and the variety of moves it can perform. Entering the arena through the mist wall, Astel will likely open the fight with a giant beam that it summons between its mandibles. This attack, like many others that Astel uses, requires slightly delayed reactions to avoid. For example, this beam is built up as Astel rears its head backwards, then angles it down to target you, and you'll need to wait a second or so with Astel in that state to dodge it as it fires. Astel uses its tail like a scorpion, swiping from over its head, performing two slam attacks. Astel slightly raises into the air as it prepares for the slams, and like the beam, you'll need to dodge later than you'd expect, once Astel has landed again to sync up with the tail coming down. The majority of Astels attacks revolve around the use of Gravitational energy; summoning purple spheres with cosmic-looking trails to it. These are either in the form of swipes with its hands, leaving a vapour trail behind it that explodes after a short delay.

Astel is a reoccurring boss in Elden Ring. A malformed star born in a flightless void far away [1] , composed of many-colored star debris. It has a vaguely insectoid body, comprised of multi-coloured orbs that form a tail akin to a scorpion's, with translucent wings and six limbs that end in human-like hands, with the front two possessing six digits each. It has a humanoid skull with large mandibles, and a large blue eye can be seen through a crack in the front of the skull. With a varied moveset of unpredictable attacks--some of which can even one-shot you from across the large arena--coming out victorious requires some solid memorization and timing.

Astel

Astel, Naturalborn of the Void is a many-legged monstrosity in Elden Ring that is possibly older than the Erdtree itself. Its massive size and celestial nature suggest a relationship to one of the Outer Gods that have forced their will onto The Lands Between. Defeating Astel is essential for any Tarnished that wants to complete Ranni's questline and unlock the 'Age of Stars' ending. He can be found after the Tarnished has made their way through the Lake of Rot. While Astel is certainly intimidating, he can be brought down if the player is familiar with his move set. When first starting the fight Astel will use his Cosmic Laser to punish players that immediately go to use buffs or Summons, they will need to dodge through this attack before doing any of these.

The amount of tactic and skill a STR player must exhibit to get to his target despite whether the target can make the stars themselves rain down, hurl lightning bolts of pure power constructed from the vestigial remnants of power left within ancient ashes of olden warriors of mythological ilk, throw the god damn SUN at them? Nothing like a 4 mile wide range with confusing frames and instant kill damage. I stayed out of melee range but not too far to miss with the crossbow. God magic just sucks every time ever since Dark Souls 1 and 2. This attack comes out very quickly and can deal high damage. This can be an insta-kill move, so sprint from the radius and begin running back in the second the slam hits the ground. Bait Astel to melee with chompers, dodge, charged L2. The camera is very annoying though, not gonna lie. My summon killed the boss after I died. Usually used when a target is close in front of it. If Astel hunches over and a sphere begins appearing and pulsing above its body, it is about to teleport away to a different section of the arena.

It fights much like in the other encounter, however it also gains a grab attack once its health goes below half, in which it spawns several copies of itself to grab the player. Dodge toward its head to avoid it. A falling star of ill omen. Grab Wait until you see Astel come in from the back of your screen then roll towards it. He's also weak to melee attacks, so mixed it up. Might be the issue is with melee builds? Only use rotten breath when he's using the 3-tier gravity slam since his recovery time is long on that. Beat him on the first try with spamming rock sling and simple rolling. Did you know every strength player may not keep track of faces slain but they know the exact number of people killed because of their simple tried but true method of running in to hit something really really hard? Absolutely ridiculous boss Astel cannot handle physical dmg. Having a fully upgraded weapon with strength at 50 or above will make this boss a lot more enjoyable. After this attack, try staying at medium-long range where a sorcery like Great Glintstone Shard can hit him.
