Additionally, the , and squads became the first in school history to qualify for the U. Gymnastics Women's Collegiate National Championships as a team. Cordova has increased the level of competition in the gym while challenging each of her gymnasts to improve their routines. Under her watch, West Chester has broken every team and individual record on the books.

Edward Matejkovic, Tuesday afternoon. The graduate of WCU returns to her alma mater with nearly 16 years of experience coaching gymnastics on the club level over the last two decades. Cordova replaces Shari Medini, who resigned from her post after just one season. She also served as the team captain her senior season and was a two-time PSAC scholar-athlete honoree. Her skills as a teacher and expertise in all of the events separated her from the rest of the candidates. Her most recent squad recently placed eighth at the New Jersey state championships.
