Carol Marine has started Daily Paintworks website: they are selling paintings and also have forums. Have you tried that site? If so, what is your impression and opinion about it? Carol has had that website for many years. It takes a while to build a following and buyers. Competition of quality and price are also a factor in success on these internet sites. The majority of my artist friends who have made an excellent living from their work in the past have moved on to jobs that pay on a regular basis due to our US economy. It takes as much if not more time to promote ourselves today as it does to paint something saleable. I was fortunate to find an international representative to sell my work. Yes, their fees are high, but I am able to focus on my passion to paint. Whatever route you take, be sure to copyright your work and watermark any photos you post.
Another problem I have with trying to sell through DPW is that members are not treated equitably. Log In. Marking art and the business side of it are two completely different things, daily paintworks.

I have been back and forth on this site and constantly on Instagram. What is the secret to being seen and selling on Instagram or on Daily Paint Works? Is it consistency? Constantly uploading new work, showing the process of creating your work, behind the scenes stuff? How do you find your audience or customers? I hear your frustration, and I see your beautiful art and the passion and commitment that is clearly behind it. There are no secrets on how to be seen and sell, but there are some common sense principles, and they apply to any venue, whether DPW, Instagram, or Etsy. The most important one is, in fact, consistency. It takes time and consistently putting your work before people to get their attention and build a following. Also, be sure to cross post on all your social media platforms.

This large-scale exhibition of graphite paintings explores the power of noticing the spectacular detail that surrounds and pervades our lives. Inspired by the fractal patterns of movement of water and light in tide pool and river shallows, and satellite views of snow-capped mountain ranges and fjords, these paintings are both stimulating and contemplative. At first, these paintings delight through association: ideas float to the surface, are noticed and dissolve, images fluidly morphing into other images. Gradually, as we let go of ideation, we relax into enjoying the painting for itself. We find ourselves focusing deeper, noticing with astonishment the detail-within-detail nested and unfolding within even the smallest detail. We become aware of a beauty of vastness in one thing, in everything. These paintings are teachers, helping us to see the magic of our surroundings as children do: a world filled with wonder, delight and awe. They bring us great peace of mind, and teach us how to find it. Arrive early to enjoy the art and meet the artist pre-show. To arrange a private viewing, please text

If so, what is your impression and opinion about it? It takes a while to build a following and buyers. I am going to be starting something new. Turned out to be a huge waste of time and effort. Thank you for taking time to respond. Yes, their fees are high, but I am able to focus on my passion to paint. May 14, at pm My presumption is that nearly all of the people visiting the site are other artists trying to sell there. There are thousands of other artists using the site, apparently thinking the same thing, but not many sales. If you want to be rich this is not the way to go. Trying is the path to success and fewer regrets. Click the outlined heart next to the artist's name. Other artists are the worst people to market your stuff to.
There are no deadlines, and you can submit to any challenge as many times as you want. All entries must comply with the letter and the spirit of the challenge and must have been painted after the challenge's posting date. When you click the Submit to the Challenge!
Scroll to the Top. I switched to Etsy rather than DPW. I used to visit DPW daily and was a paid member for about six months. Have you tried that site? I wish the DPW site, and the artists there lots of success in the future. May 13, at pm I have bought several small paintings from other artists who use the site, for very good prices. We very much appreciate your patronage! In the entire time I was a member, only once was a painting of mine posted to their Facebook page and it was not one that I would have selected. Otherwise, how would I know?
Certainly. All above told the truth. Let's discuss this question.
Excuse for that I interfere To me this situation is familiar. Let's discuss. Write here or in PM.
