I bought Dishonored 1 and 2 recently and have finally gotten around to playing the first game, all these years after it's initial release. It's a fantastic game and I'm looking forward to jumping into the second game soon. This morning I played through the tutorial secotion for 2 and Corvo's face was kind of bothering me. Wasn't he branded at the start of the first game? During the interogation scene with High Overseer Campbell standing over him. Throughout my playthrough I was under the impression that Corvo wore his mask to hide the Heritic's Brand on his face aswell as his true identity of course but that doesn't appear to be the case. This little wrinkle to Corvo's character made branding Campbell in mission 2 of the first game incredibly satisfying. However, this seems to just be something I've made up because none of the official artwork I have seen, or Corvo's appearance in the second game seems to show any scars what-so-ever. Looking back at the intro scenes its clear that Corvo doesn't actually recieve the Heritic's Brand, which, I have to admit feels like it detracts my satisfaction for getting revenge on Campbell in the first game somewhat.

Piero can upgrade the function with a second spyglass zoom after Corvo delivers the appropriate blueprints. When acquired, this feature allows Corvo to view objects and people more closely than he can with the mask's single telescopic function.
