Dyson has carved out a pretty unique niche in the higher end of the home appliance industry. The company has a long history of turning plebeian products—air purifiers, hair dryers, vacuums—into exquisite, insanely priced prestige items that somehow always perform better than advertised. The basic premise is absurd. The name describes a vacuum that can be pushed in any direction and that is primarily for use on hardwood floors. But as far as I knew, all vacuums go in all directions. Don't they? And I already use all of Dyson's vacuums on hardwood. Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit, because the Omni-glide has quickly become my favorite Dyson appliance. Even compared to Dyson's previous stick vacs, I had no idea a floor vacuum could be this light, maneuverable, and useful for picking up the utter destruction that can result from serving my kids berry cake for snack. Currently, I have the Omni-glide plugged in next to the Dyson V15 Detect, which is the latest cordless stick vacuum in Dyson's popular V-series line. The V-series are already pretty light and small, but the Omni-glide is about half its size.
However, the Omni-Glide is smaller and lighter.
It occupies a unique spot within Dyspn's product lineup, being more compact and maneuverable than mainstays like the Dyson V8 , with an extremely lightweight design and a multidirectional head equipped with two soft brushrolls and four caster wheels. However, it's only intended for use on bare floors, not carpets, and compromises on debris pickup performance and battery life when compared to its more conventional stablemates. The Dyson Omni-glide is okay for cleaning bare floors. Its twin soft-roller floorhead makes it a cinch to maneuver on hard surfaces. That said, while it has no trouble dealing with pet hair and lightweight debris, it has a much harder time dealing with larger material, which can get stuck on the brushrolls or in the narrow vacuum suction inlet. Its dirt compartment is also very small and needs frequent emptying.

A: Hi there, Ingrid, this is Tia from Dyson! We appreciate your interest in the Dyson Omni-Glide cordless vacuum.
Easy to use and cleans very quickly and effectively. Summary: The ability of the head of the cleaner to move in different directions is cool and useful. About this item Dyson's slimmest, most maneuverable vacuum for in-between cleaning on hard floors. There are two settings, 'Eco', which is the default, and 'Max', which is more powerful and intended for more stubborn messes. Maximum Suction. This vacuum has poor suction performance at its floorhead, so it may have trouble dealing with heavier, denser debris. The Dyson V11 is a better vacuum than the Dyson Omni-glide. Therefore useless for rugs, rough tile or stone floors. I took apart the wall-mounted charging dock and found that the power connector had been pushed into the back of the dock where the Dyson could no longer reach it. However, the Omni-glide delivers somewhat better performance on bare floors since it struggles a bit less to clear bulky debris like cereal.
It is a pity, that now I can not express - it is very occupied. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
On your place I would not do it.
