The grant would cover phases 1 and 2 of the fox bay movie theater, which include Northwestern Mutual taking over the building's third floor, as well as blowouts salon Drybar taking over the former Mathnasium space. As for the most famous tenant in the building - the former Fox-Bay Cinema Grill - the future is less clear. New Land might apply for a separate grant to offset those expenses," the Business Journal's Sari Lesk reported.
Burgers are big. The fish sandwich is really good. Best onion rings around. It's a great place to let them burn energy during winter and on rainy days. Cool experiences.

Hundreds of Whitefish Bay residents have signed a petition asking officials to reconsider their current proposal for renovating and reopening the abandoned Fox Bay theater. Officials are considering awarding developer New Land Enterprises with one of their largest grants to renovate the Fox Bay Theater Building in a three-step phased plan. The proposal includes plans to renovate office spaces on the third floor, rent out retail space on the street level and find a new operator for the abandoned movie theater. If awarded, those funds wouldn't be used to renovate the theater. However, if a grant is made to the first two phases, it doesn't stop Whitefish Bay from helping the theater in a future grant request. Village President Kevin Buckley said he supports the petition because it shows "enormous enthusiasm" for the Fox Bay Theater. It is vital to get the theater operating to have a vibrant Silver Spring business district," he wrote to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. One concept is for the Village to do something big and bold and buy-out New Land and develop the business jewel in WFB; another is for citizens to form an NFP to operate the theater. As of Wednesday, more than people have signed the petition, including Village Trustee Jay Balachandran. Village officials have had about three hours of public discussion and another six hours in closed session to discuss the proposal. The Community Development Authority will continue the discussion at its meeting at 6 p. Contact Alex Groth at agroth gannett. Follow her on Twitter at grothalexandria.

Like almost every movie theater in the country, the theater had closed temporarily in March and then reopened in May, but closed again in late September Unfortunately, it now appears that the theater will not reopen, at least not under the management of current operator Roman Kelly. I spoke with Roman today June 21, and he said that he will not likely reopen the theater. Located on Silver Spring Drive near the border of Fox Point and Whitefish Bay hence the name Fox Bay , the theater originally opened as a single-screen movie theater in It closed in

One exits the auditorium through light traps with no doors, so sound control can be a problem. The lobby, however, is a gracious curving design with giant showcases a la the adjacent store fronts to hold the posters, etc. The theatre was divided into three screens a few years ago, and a newspaper item on Aug.
