Book one is a pleasing start to a series. It is a fantastic way to introduce all the players their main powers balanced with a reasonable amount of plot and some intimacy both physical and emotional. Kim Faulks has established some interesting rules for her world, it remains to be seen whether she can obey them for any serious time. The writing is well done. It is sex and love positive, Lorn knows what she wants and she's willing to go for it. Not because it's normal necessarily but because she had role models in love and because she was raised to be herself. Honestly, it's been a bit since I read a reverse harem where the relationship between the men wasn't established. It's refreshing. There are complications, not everyone is happy with the situation and that is perfect. It's hard enough for a woman to agree to this sort of sharing but to me it would be even harder for the males involved, they have to shut down some serious base instincts for the relationship to be effective. Book One is quite character driven and I really like the main characters as one is supposed to and the supporting cast.
