His overall description has many similarities with the characters' designs in the game series' noncanonical spin-off FNaF World , being a more friendly-looking character. He lacks Bon-Bon on his right hand, instead having four-fingered hands. He has buckteeth, circular pink cheeks, and blue eyes. He has a white body with purple accents, pink cheeks, a small black top hat, short black eyebrows and has eyes composing purple eyelids, white scleras blue irises and black pupils. Against his original counterpart, he has two circular hands, four fingers, has no toes and no faceplates. Helpy also seems to be pretty fragile since, every time the player fails in a mini-game, he breaks his neck.

However, Helpy returns in Ultimate Custom Night as one of the many customizable antagonists that make surviving the night a challenge. Both animatronics share a similar plastic exterior and round, pink cheeks. Helpy is also notably non-hostile and tends to lend the player a helping hand in most cases, as his name suggests.
