Fuli is Kion's friend and later his second in command, a former member of the Lion Guard and a current member of the Night Pride at the Tree of Life. Kion and Rani grew closer after they realized how much they have in common, particularly their feelings for their respective deceased grandparents and having to take on a leadership role at a young age.
