MEOW Foundation runs on the generosity of our supporters. At MEOW, we rely on donations to run our programs and provide essential vet care to the stray and abandoned cats that come through our Adoption Centre. As a no-kill animal rescue, we believe that all cats deserve a chance at a fulfilling life, regardless of age, health, behaviour, or otherwise. We gratefully accept all donations — no amount is too small! MEOW Foundation was founded in , and since then we have provided assistance to more than 40, cats. In addition to the rescue and adoption of cats, we also engage in evidence-based humane programs to help reduce cat overpopulation, which prevents suffering. Every cat who comes through our Adoption Centre receives the medical treatment they need to live happy and healthy lives, including health checks, vaccines, medications, and surgery.

Since MEOW's inception in , we have rescued and found homes for more than 14, cats. Due to our no-kill status and limited Adoption Centre and foster home space, we adhere to the following intake guidelines and procedures:. We operate by appointment only. MEOW Foundation is the only rescue organization in Calgary that offers three core programs necessary to reduce and ultimately eliminate the homeless cat overpopulation problem. Together, our programs control the cat population at the source while promoting responsible pet ownership. Our Rescue and Adoption Program cares for and re-homes stray and abandoned cats and kittens.
