Gunfire rang out in the Berkley area of Norfolk Monday afternoon as a funeral procession was on its way to a cemetery. Norfolk police dispatch said there was a report of shots fired at p. Berkley Avenue, but no one was hurt. When officers responded to the scene around p. Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander — who owns Metropolitan Funeral Services, where the funeral was held — said the shooting happened at the tail end of a procession to a cemetery.
