After two years of development, content updates, merch sales , and memories, the original Piggy experience is being retired. On November 24, , the creator of Piggy, MiniToon, took to Twitter to announce the news to his nearly one million followers. In a string of tweets , the developer explained his reasons for leaving the experience behind while encouraging fans to follow Piggy on its next endeavor, Piggy: Intercity. Though the original Piggy experience will no longer receive new content or updates outside of the necessary bug fixes, MiniToon has no plans of shutting it down. The experience will remain open and active for those who still wish to play it past its sunset, with the final season being released on November 27, , MiniToon and the rest of the Piggy team will simply be focusing their time and efforts elsewhere.
