Note: This isn't necessarily an ending to the game, but more the events that lead to the end of her life. It is an unavoidable event. Sayori's ending happens at the end of Act 1. She is a member of the Literature Club , and a character whom the player can write poems for. Natsuki has straight pastel pink hair, cut around chin length, and pink eyes. Her bangs are swept to the right, having two prominent strands of hair beside them. Her accessories consist of a red Japanese-style crossed hairclip, as well as two red ribbons tying two small ponytails on either side of her head, with the rest of her hair left down. Her canine teeth are longer than the rest of her teeth, making them visible when she opens her mouth wide enough. She is the shortest character in the Literature Club, a feature that results in people commonly mistaking her for a first year student. While in school, she wears the standard issue female school uniform consisting of a warm gray blazer fully buttoned and untucked, brown sweater vest, white shirt slightly unbuttoned at the collar, red ribbon, dark blue pleated skirt, white knee-high socks and white uwabaki slippers with sky blue tips. While out of school, she wears a short sleeved white shirt with a light pink cat face decoration on the left side with light pink trims lining the edges of the sleeves, light pink ruffled skirt with a black trim. Under the shirt, two black bra straps can be seen. Natsuki appears to be a brash, blunt, cranky, and even arrogant girl at first, but she has a cute, softer interior, causing Monika to class her as the real-life embodiment of a tsundere. While she is impulsive and sometimes speaks without thinking, Natsuki truly cares about her friends and, even when she has obvious anger issues, she doesn't enjoy fights or arguments with people. Over the course of the game, it is shown that she worries about Yuri , and, on one occasion, she gives the protagonist a note asking him to help Yuri, fearing that if she spoke out then it would cause more arguments. Natsuki is very stubborn and has a hard time expressing how she feels and what she wants. When repeatedly challenged, she often becomes awkward and tongue-tied, then aggressive, and then simply bursts into tears. Natsuki is also shown to be less pushy and more relaxed when she is outside of school, as mentioned by the protagonist when she visits his home.

While this power allows Subaru to resurrect himself and change things for the better, it also means that he experiences death in many gruesome forms along the way. Act 4 is the fourth and final act of Doki Doki Literature Club! In this act, everything in the world seems to be back to normal, with the exception of Monika 's absence. The protagonist decides to join a club by his own volition and, encountering Yuri and Natsuki 's friendly disposition to one another and Sayori , convinces him to stay and fill the quota needed to make the Literature Club official. After Yuri and Natsuki leave the room, Sayori starts talking to the protagonist, but then she talks directly to the player. She comments how she is now the club president, and therefore, she is now self-aware and knows about everything that happened earlier. Sayori then decides to pick up where Monika has left off in Act 3 , but Monika is revealed to not be quite gone and deletes Sayori before she can do anything else. Monika concludes that there is no happiness in the Literature Club, primarily because one character has to be president, and being one gives the character a revelation that drives them to insanity. Monika then decides to erase the whole game, but before she does so, she presents the player a song she saved called " Your Reality. Afterwards, any interaction with the game will cause an error message to appear, prompting the player to delete and reinstall the game in order to play again. An offline alternative is to delete "firstrun," found in the game's files, which allows the player to perform a hard reset.

Natsuki is a character in the video game Doki Doki Literature Club! She is one of four girls in the titular literature club, alongside Sayori , Yuri , and Monika. She is a tsundere and a victim of domestic abuse by her father, with her traits ultimately becoming more pronounced due to Monika's intervention in the game's files. She was created by Dan Salvato , who recognized the "reality" behind her and the others. Her character was inspired by people with depression in Salvato's life. Natsuki was generally well received by critics, with multiple noting scenes involving her as particularly unsettling. She has also received commentary as a victim of abuse.
