One of the key elements that sets ARK: Survival Ascended apart from other survival games is its huge catalog of creatures. While this growing list of animals mainly consists of dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts, some maps bring mythological creatures to the roster, too. Fans battled it out through votes, until ultimately six creatures were crowned the winners. While some of the official creature abilities are still yet to be announced, the community has access to their original concepts, which detail interesting mechanics. Located primarily in the Swamp Biome, the Rhyniognatha is a gargantuan insect with an extremely aggressive temperament.

Ark took the idea of survival games to a whole new level, and new content is being added to this game universe all the time. Ark: Survival Ascended is a remake of Ark: Survival Evolved, featuring a new overhaul of the graphics and better visuals overall. The character models were updated and several planned DLCs will expand the Ark universe in whole new ways. Among all the new additions to the game are some fantastic new creatures and dinosaurs that will share the world with you. The first two creatures, Nothosaurus and Giant Bison, are not in the game, but due to their popularity in the fan voting, it's possible they will appear in the future. We've still included them here because of this possibilty. Having previously appeared in the Ark game series, the Nothosaurus is a fan-favorite aquatic beast that was highly voted upon by fans participating in the fan-picked creatures to be in the Center DLC. Nothosaurus narrowly did not make it into the DLC based on votes, but this was one of the most popular options and may still make an appearance in future Ark DLC installments as a result of its popularity. Many fans clearly want to see this creature, which means it could appear at some point in the future. In the open fan voting for new creatures, the Giant Bison was a huge favorite. The fan community definitely wants to see this creature get included in an upcoming Ark DLC, which is a distinct possibility based on the large number of votes this animal received. Should the Giant Bison be included in the game, it will serve as a useful animal for farming purposes.

Armed with sharp claws and strong legs, the Gigantoraptor will be a fierce fighter, especially when defending young creatures.

Charcarodontosaurus will make a triumphant entry to ARK with a noteworthy set of abilities that puts it in competition with ARK's most feared carnivores! With a notable taste for blood, Charcarodontosaurus will become more frenzied as it gets its fill. I feel lucky to have crossed paths with Carcharodontosaurus medicupestis and lived to tell the tale. Just one of these bruisers held its own against an army of us, and that encounter cost us dearly. It has teeth like steak knives, set in jaws strong enough to shred most prey.

With the release of Survival Ascended, players are going to get to be faced with a slew of new and returning dinos. With Ark: Survival Ascended being built from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5, the dinos are going to look even more frightening than ever. Along with the arrival of brand-new dinosaurs, players can expect a roster of over dinosaurs. Every DLC adds new dinosaurs for players to snag, as was the case over the life cycle of Evolved. Keep in mind, however, that not all dinosaurs are tameable, and players will have to do some research beforehand in order to get prepared for combat. Category: Guides. Nick Farrell. Fasolasuchus is fast in sand and has no trouble navigating around in desert environments. Developer s Studio Wildcard. The core mechanic of the Shastasaurus that earned the creature so many votes during the Community Creature Vote was its saddle. Originally planned to arrive alongside The Center, the Gigantoraptor will now be released on Wednesday, February 28 to give you something exciting to play with while we wait for the new map to be finished. The Shastasaurus has been teased to have a curious temperament much like the Ichthyosaurus, allowing players to passively tame it. Both tameable and rideable, the Dreadnoughtus is based on similar dinos from history and has a silhouette similar to the brachiosaurus, but it is clearly a ramped-up and Ark-ified version of a similar prehistoric creature. We've got you covered. Depending on which creatures can be trapped in the whirlpool, the Fasolasuchus has great potential to become a PvP menace against slower, larger dinosaurs. This giant reptile appears in the Center. Located primarily in the Swamp Biome, the Rhyniognatha is a gargantuan insect with an extremely aggressive temperament. Fasolasuchus has spikes down the ridge line of its back, so that even its body is dangerous. Ken Allsop. Fans battled it out through votes, until ultimately six creatures were crowned the winners.

Hear the Deathworms tremble as they will no longer be the only ones dominating the sands of Scorched Earth when Fasolasuchus makes its grand entrance on ARK: Survival Ascended. This giant sand-dweller will surely change the power dynamic of Scorched Earth.

Once tamed, it does make a pretty great companion, so it is worth the lengthy process involved to be able to add this creature to your collection of animal friends. While the existing sauropods in ARK: Survival Ascended are passive creatures, the Dreadnoughtus is extremely territorial, though its dossier states it will not target anything smaller than a Spinosaur. This mean-looking guy is definitely a fighter and from an evolutionary standpoint, it is a clear precursor to crocodiles. The fan community definitely wants to see this creature get included in an upcoming Ark DLC, which is a distinct possibility based on the large number of votes this animal received. This is a tameable creature and it swims fast in water, so it is a highly practical mount when you need to cross a lake or river. Introduced in Scorched Earth, the Fasolasuchus is a carnivore and it is aggressive. The Fasolasuchus is a quadrupedal terror with the unique ability to swim through sand, much like the Deathworm. Instead, players will need to hurl explosives at the Fasolasuchus to daze it, then quickly clamber aboard the creature and steer it into a rock. Ken Allsop. It is a herbivore, and it looks incredibly cool thanks to a long neck that has shades of bright blue shining through its multiple neck ridges. It is tamable and it is highly aquatic, swimming easily in the water.
