The early reveal model Reggie pulled from his pocket looked undeniably clunky, especially up against the sleek elegance of Sony's PSP. There was a nervousness from fans that Sony's arrival on the handheld market was the death knell to Nintendo's dominance in the same way it had been with the home console market nearly a decade earlier.

Disappointing top 10 imo. I got Spirit Tracks, but the stylus heavy control scared me off. Wasn't that impressed.

Now 19 years after the Nintendo DS first hit the street, Nintendo's first handheld has proven itself as one of the best-selling gaming consoles ever launched. The Nintendo DS was once thought to be a flash in the pan, but it ended up determining the future of Nintendo over the following years and even laid the groundwork for the massively successful Nintendo Switch.

Arashi no Yoruni. EDIT: I do own a bunch of them, but not nearly all and there are definitely some I'd purchase if they were still in stores. Which is good because my only memory of DS Zelda was repeating that damned dungeon over and over again. Does the books thing count as a game? Played with the DS held vertically, Hotel Dusk feels like a virtual book where you read engaging dialogue but can use your stylus to traverse the titular hotel and solve numerous clever puzzles. No Jump Ultimate Stars! I actually hadn't anyone even speak of FFTA2 in quite some time and began to wonder if it was the forgotten child of the franchise. Thanks for the recommendation! I also liked Thor and Alien Infestation both by Wayforward. Super innovative and very fun throughout.
