Thread Tools. You probably also have a PO lean code. Don't assume the worst, like I did. Get the plastic battery cover off and get to the vacuum lines behind the battery. If you're like me, you don't clean up around there unless you're replacing the battery. The acid and crud from the battery tends to eat the vacuum lines. Then mix up some water and baking soda and brush it around to neutralize all the acid in the area. Put Vaseline on the posts after it all drys and promise to tidy up the engine compartment more often. My truck is a 98 with about , so I imagine some of you with newer models will be coming across this soon. From what I can tell on various posts and sites, the butterfly valves and actuators for the runner system get carboned and gunked up after a while. It sounds like a lot of people try running Seafoam through the intake system to get everything cleaned up. If you've got pointers on that, this might be a good place to put them. View Public Profile. P1537 code ford f150

It has the same meaning for the Ford F as it would any other vehicle. It is typically caused by a bad coil pack or wiring harness issue, although there can be caused by other factors. A short, open, or poorly ground wiring harness is almost always what causes P when it is the primary wiring side that has thrown the code. The secondary side of the equation is the spark side. Which means that plugs, plug wires if so equipped or the spark plug itself is causing your F to throw P Ignition Coil C indicates the problem is in cylinder three.

I used a vacuum tester and guage today and the vacuum canister holds vacuum, the egr valve and solenoid operates normally, but I cannot figure out why I see the above behaivor: When the vacuum guage is on the IMRC side of the imrc solenoid, I get vacuum for awhile when I first start the truck the even when reving it up I never see it again. What is it? The code that showed up was P
