Nickelodeon Europe Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series aimed for preschool children. It follows the adventures of Peppa, a young anthropomorphic pig, and her family and friends.

Produced by Hasbro Entertainment and Karrot Animation and formerly produced by Astley Baker Davies , the show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet , and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. The show first aired on 31 May Peppa Pig has been broadcast in over countries. Peppa herself has been voiced by several different performers through the years. Lily Snowden-Fine provided her voice in season one and Cecily Bloom in season two, then Harley Bird , five years old when she started, acquired the role for thirteen years until stepping down after season six. On 17 November , Hasbro announced that they would be selling Entertainment One's assets.

Mummy Pig is a stay-at- home mum who likes to paint and read books , while Daddy Pig is a bit of an oaf who loves to play with his children. George, the youngest member of the family, is often seen crying and has a fondness for his toy dinosaur. Peppa Pig is an educational show that teaches children about a wide range of themes and topics. From learning about the days of the week to understanding what recycling is, Peppa Pig educates children in fun and engaging ways. The show is known for its simple yet effective animation style, which features 2D characters against a colorful, 3D background. The visuals are bright and colorful, which is especially appealing to children.
