I found it quite plodding tbh. Which is awful when you think how beautiful the location is. I can't think of the exact one, but there are a lot of 'disappearing spouses' mysteries out there.

Viewers of the four-part Channel 5 series watched as most of the loose ends were tied up in the finale - except for one. Earlier in the episode, murderer Dan - played by Outlander star David Berry - was seen preying on his estate agent colleague called Jenny. Instead, fans learned at the end of the programme that Dan had killed both his 'neighbour' Ali's current husband Sean AND ex husband Michael. Taking to Twitter once the credits had rolled, one perplexed viewer asked: "What happened to the estate agent? And a fourth even mused: "Oh dear it appears the writer of Riptide fell asleep half hour before writing the ending Anyone missing an Estate Agent? The ex pat had just married Aussie native Sean Weston, played by former Neighbours star Peter O'Brien, in the show opener before tragedy struck. At first it was thought he had been caught in a riptide before it was concluded he had died as the result of foul play. Various suspects found themselves in the frame as the mini-series unfolded, including Peter's son Ethan - played by Neighbours' Ben Turland. Viewers of the show quickly suspected 'creepy' neighbour Dan , however, with him then being confirmed as the murderer at the end of the second episode. In the third instalment, Dan was showed hitting Michael over the head with a crowbar before dragging a body bag out to his car. And in Friday night's final, Dan made a move on his estate agent colleague Jenny - before she suddenly vanished. Ali's daughter Hannah, meanwhile, worked out that he was dangerous and managed to alert her mum - who thumped him over the head with a rock after he'd whisked her to a 'wellness retreat'. Get ready for Riptide on Channel 5 which is a four-part mystery thriller set in Melbourne, Australia. Leading the cast is former EastEnders actor Jo Joyner who plays a new wife Alison who becomes frantic with worry when her husband Sean suddenly disappears after he goes out for a morning surf trip. She is such a warm and layered character whose world is turned upside down, just when it seemed like her life was finally coming together. I was also thrilled to be filming in the fabulous city of Melbourne and surrounding countryside, an area that I have always wanted to explore. The drama is now available in the UK on streaming service My5. Yes, maybe Ethan is the prime suspect for a while, for some people, but I think in his head he was playing to his genuine truth of his care for his dad, his care for his mum. Music and sound effefts killed the dialogue, could only understand less than half spoken. This may include adverts from us and 3rd parties based on our understanding. Joyner was thrilled to sign up to the drama, as she had hopes to work outside the UK. Without the 'victim' having set funeral rules, gay sons don't show up in anything but a dark suit, and wives don't show up in a floral dress with a long dark cardigan. Irish Sun. Already, there have been so many lines that people just don't say - including police information and processes that just don't align with reality. The stepson and his mother, the bitter ex wife were poorly acted caricatures in the extreme, the stepson's boyfriend, providing possibly the only likeable character there. There's not even anywhere that would allow anyone to seriously surf. US Edition. You do just see the anger and the hurt at first, but later you get to see beneath that. Spiriting Alison to a mountain getaway, Dan presses his advantage, suggesting they both start a new life elsewhere.

I will say I personally thought it was a bit predictable but still a very good watch. Benny says: "I think so. I think Ethan has the best arc of anyone there and I thought I would really love to do justice to that. US Edition. Please try again. The cast list shows so much promise and potential, but the script that they've been tasked with delivering lacks structure and maturity. No disrespect to Jo Joyner, but are we meant to believe that Peter O'brien, Ciaran Griffiths and David Berry were madly in love with Jo's dowdy, dull and mumsy character? It does take a big toll because, like a lot of young males, they don't really know how to talk about their emotions and their feelings, and so you can see the consequences of that. Jo is a great comedy actress though. Suffice to say there's a mystery about what happened though it doesn't drag on too long. YES NO. She is such a warm and layered character whose world is turned upside down, just when it seemed like her life was finally coming together. Don't bother watching as you'll be disappointed at the end and you'll never get those four hours back.
