Just had to bell out some cabling and was using a multi meter with buzzer, the flipping thing kept going into auto shutdown after about two mins and was not happy at all with it. Can anyone recommend a continuity tester which doesn't cost oodles of dosh and has buzz facility, I dont need loads of bells and whistles just a continuity reading and the buzzer, also preferably one which doesn't have an auto power off feature would be great. Thanks guys. I have looked at the Fluke T90, but I want one with removable leads so as I can use crocodile clip leads croc onto conductors. Get a multimeter. Thanks Lee - yes I will have a look around for a decent one, just looked at the Fluke multi meters so will work around a pukka make.. The one I was using to bell out was absolute rubbish, auto shutdown after two mins while tracing cables, never again. Cheers m8. Doesn't your Robin have one built in? Kind regards.

Can anyone reccomend a brand of test leads with crocodile clips which would solve my problem to save me buying another poor set. Do you mean to say that the pair of jaws, both metal, are not connected via a metal 'hinge-pin' and spring? I have no idea of the construction of proper leccy test leads etc, so I'm just asking Mr.

Hello All, I've got a Ford Connect , I've got a universal kit and a relay by-pass from the suppliers. The only reason I'm doing it myself is that they are fully booked until mid July and I need the trailer next week.

The clamp on has leads to measure volt, ohms, and frequency, and a buzzer with diode threshold voltage, but no hard wired current, only way to measure current is with the clamps. I bought the cheapo Lap one from SF and so far it's worked pretty ok. An old EIE topic.
