As a scientist your asked to check out the alien craters outside of the lab but there is no clickable way to complete this task, unless it is a phony task, but imo it is a waste of time since the request pops up repeatedly.

Here is another bug to report if you get the chance. I was having the same problem, but after searching on the forums I found sims 4 alien crater that the craters do not look like a traditional crater you would expect to see.

They look like a very small tree stump with green stuff oozing out of them.

If you go out the backdoor of the Since lab, go to the left till you see Tree's and a fishing sign keep going left and you will see it looks like the top of a volcano and it's green on the inside.
