The Lunar Flare is a Hardmode , post- Moon Lord magic weapon that summons three projectiles that rain down from above the game screen per every use. These projectiles appear as turquoise streaks and explode upon impact with an enemy or solid block. It is the upgraded version of Blizzard Staff. The Lunar Flare fires projectiles that can travel through any blocks in their path to the intended target, making it a viable weapon even in confined spaces. The Lunar Flare is a powerful weapon, but without a Mana Flower or any of its upgrades, you might find it challenging to manage its high mana cost. When used, the Lunar Flare emits light that cannot pass through blocks, however, it is suitable for exploring caves, finding ores, and lighting dark places when traveling. Combat-wise, the Lunar Flare's high damage output, low use time, and ability to travel through blocks above the cursor are more precise and have a higher DPS than the other magic weapon, making it one of the most powerful weapons to fight bosses and waves of enemies.
