It involves Lambert and his quest to avenge a witcher friend of his, Aiden. Important: the events at the Seven Cats Inn during this quest are a cutoff point for the secondary quest Flesh for Sale on Skellige. A part of this quest takes place at the same location and thus completing Destination: Skellige is reallifecasm requirement to complete this quest anyway.
Despite being of questionable intellect for most of the game, this quest highlights the qualities of Lambert that makes him a top-drawer Witcher, and largely testifies to why he and Geralt are even friends in the first place. There's a lot to this quest, though, and it's easy to make the wrong choices as you progress through it. That's why we've put together a handy guide to clearly outline all the quest's fail conditions, as well as describe how to complete it in the optimal way. Updated on August 6, by Quinton O'Connor: We've updated this guide for enhanced clarity, and fixed a few embarrassing little typos along the way! If you're here, there's a pretty good chance that starting this quest has caused you to fail another one, or starting a new mission has marked this one as failed.

Of course most have done it both ways but which choices do you think is the "right" onesy for you? First choice is Vienne and if you fight her or not.

While exploring Novigrad in The Witcher 3 , players may encounter a notice board that initiates the Following the Thread sidequest, which begins with a hunt for an ekimmara. There is much more to this quest than simply dispatching a beast, though, and fans will find themselves forced to make several choices before everything is said and done. For those players that want to know more about the choices in The Witcher 3 's Following the Thread sidequest, full details can be found in this guide. In preface of providing a full walkthrough of Following the Thread in The Witcher 3 , it is important to mention that players will fail this quest if they do not complete it before starting Ugly Baby, a main quest that kicks off Act Two. Additionally, advancing Following the Thread to a certain point will prevent fans from starting Flesh for Sale, a sidequest that takes place on Skellige , and it is thus advisable to not progress past the ekimmara hunt until after Flesh for Sale is finished. Upon accepting The Witcher 3 's Following the Thread quest, players should speak with the supervisor to begin tracking the ekimmara and the "brave fool" that is already on the hunt. With the help of Geralt 's Witcher Senses, fans will find themselves crossing a river and eventually entering a building. It is in this structure that the battle with the ekimmara will occur, and players will discover that it is Lambert, another witcher, that was also tracking this monster in The Witcher 3. When the ekimmara is slain a brief conversation between Geralt and Lambert will occur, and it is here where the first choice in Following the Thread arises. More specifically, players must decide if they will go with Lambert to speak with the supervisor or they will instead meet him there, and the second of these options is recommended.

Again, the whole situation seems fake and set-up, it is more like a hostage situation where those people were slaves. KILL HIM, when you tell lambert to kill Karadin, he says "I've been waiting a long time for this" obviously he doesn't like lambert and wants to kill him as well. Ask A Question. Iron Maiden. Lambert, still driven by vengeance, doesn't care about Karadin's sob story. Karadin prepared for their arrival. Except on the rat removal job with Triss, where he finds the advance payment extremely suspect, and is proven right in the assumption. But maybe he changed because he is now rich and doesn't have to do things like slave trading anymore. Obviously if he's a slaver he's scum, despite donating to the orphanage where four of my kids happen to be. Lambert certainly had a strong opinion on the matter.

Either way, when you go to collect the reward with Lambert, he starts a fight and goes after the supervisor, leaving you behind to deal with three guards. The Last Wish. Nothing says he's in slave trading it's just assumptions. The Soldier Statuette. Witcher Wannabe. But I still wondered about them. After all did you kill the other slave traders? Selyse apparently accuses him of being a slaver, which is quite a specific allegation. A Walk on the Waterfront. My point is, I do believe that he in the past traded slaves with Hammond, as he was in band that killed Aiden. For other opinions or comments, go here. A Greedy God. As for my choic here I think killing him is the better choice. He says he deeply regrets all the others he killed, implying he killed innocents, as one would assume if they weren't he'd use that to justify the killings, as he does try to mitigate his guilt in the killing of Aiden.
