The timing system, finish line cell, photo finish cameras, transponders and computers are all used to get the millimetre-accurate results. The photo finish is what ultimately decides a result and can even see provisional results overturned and celebrations spoiled. Time-trials are a different undertaking to mass start stages and can require twice the personnel — 16 rather than eight — when compared to a road stage. Also different to a road stage, TTs require instant and accurate timekeeping given that several riders are progressing at different points along the course at the same time.

The closest I've ever been to being on a sailboat, yacht, or even rowing a boat is at my local gym using a row machine to burn off all of my excess fast food calories from throughout the week. So, if I'm not a boat person, why would I even like a watch with a regatta timer that's specifically meant to time the start of said boating activities? I think all three are well suited for these blistering hot summer months. Even if you're not into the Sideral's aquatic background, the loud colors are downright fun to wear.
