Ben Published: Oct 4, Not very much changed when he became ultimate, aside from his color palette becoming a maroon-red, being bigger and getting a row of spikes down his back with a stinger tail, the one main problem that people have with this ultimate is that he is able to speak. And being the ultimate of an alien even though can speak though only in grunts roars and snarls it is aparrent that they made him talk just so he could call out his name like the other aliens in AUF. While I can guess the other reason for him to speak was so that he could communicate better with other people, as the gimmick with the ultimates was for their evolution to improve on both strengths and weaknesses. Though who is to say how evolutionary pressures would change a species social structure over time, I might be wrong but if any of you would like to correct me please do. Aside from poor writing my own theory for why ultimate wildmutt speaks is that he has evolved to become more Sapient. Humans evolved from apes and over time became a fully sapient species through further evolution and Vulpimancers are semi-sapient, So it would be logical that they themselves might become a fully sapient species over time like humans and other sapient races. I liked how they had those long tusks and spikes and I wanted to convey that aspect into my Ultimates design, so I gave a much spikier look to him. So as their homeworld gets more polluted and hazardous and competition becomes more intense the Vulpimancers evolve to become stronger and tougher with offensive and defensive bone spike growths.

Wildmutt has no eyes, instead using his sense of smell and hearing, which are aided by three gill-like nostrils located on each side of his neck. In the original series, Wildmutt wore a brace with the Omnitrix symbol on his left shoulder. Four year old Wildmutt looked very similar to his ten year old self, but a lot smaller and thinner.
