The first is when you use the jumping wind next to the church. There's a cave behind this waterfall and defeating the Runebear inside nets you the Prince of Death's Cyst. I don't know what Godwyn was like but that is a fate nobody deserves. If you're not directly in front of these enemies, you will not be harmed.
