Haidilao is a popular Chinese Szechuan Hot Pot restaurant, located in more than cities across the world. Hot Pot is a Chinese cooking method where you cook your own meat and vegetables in a boiling broth of your choice. This was our first time trying Hot Pot so we were super excited to try it in their O2 branch. They have another branch in Piccadilly. It was split into leather seated high-tech booths, each with their own Hot Pot heater and enough space to house about people. We were welcomed by a waiter who took us to our seats and in the next few minutes experienced the best service we have ever received in a restaurant.

Super Recommended!! Unfortunately the act of dipping our different sauces and meats into the Hot Pot grew tiresome and boring overtime. The portions are crazy as well, we ordered abit more because we thought the portions were gonna be small but turns out we were wrong! We preferred the Mushroom base which was more muted in flavour with a subtle but still rich taste. Tomato base is amazing. Suggest restaurant. Price range. They give out snacks while waiting to be seated and you can even get your nails done while you wait. A super innovative experience with the best service and a menu which had great variety and quality too. We had luck and were seated quickly. The portion was good as well although the fish was a bit smelly from memory… love that the self-service bar offers the variety of different sauce and nice dessert soup! Food was nice, the meat has different quality options and the one we ordered was really tender.
