I have lived in Padstow for 13 years and I have enjoyed it very much. Padstow is an established riverside suburb with many families staying in old and new duplexes. There are very few apartments, leading to a LOW crime rate in the suburb. That's amazing! I have noticed that Padstow is a safe community in parts due to its village atmosphere and people genuinely caring for their own kind. The area is attracting more young professionals who enjoy the train line into the CBD! Padstow is very good for young families because of its proximity to Hurstville. As a result, Padstow has a lot of wealthy migrants who enjoy riverside living and a safe village atmosphere. I would certainly recommend Padstow to any young professionals looking for a great riverside suburb with low crime rate or wealthy families who want to live close to Hurstville. I've been living near Padstow North Public School and have been having a great experience overall. Even Bankstown Shopping Centre is reachable on foot if you're keen for a longer walk.
